Two Shows (Three Formats) Under Our Belts

An X versus O, Stand-Up Hot Seat and B(minus) on the books. The shows where a lot of fun, both for the performers and the audience. Thanks to everyone who came out to the shows.

We have already learned so much about how to make the shows even better. Little details here and there. The most exciting discovery, though, is the shake up of the Stand-Up Hot Seat format. Starting on February 12th we will have three comedians on stage each taking there shot at randomly selected topics that have been contributed by the audience. Our three comedians for this show will be Justin Tuttle, Kenny Wilcoxon and Rich Castle.

Join us on January 22nd at 8 pm, upstairs at Mike & Molly's as we debut The New Sincerity.

B(minus): First Attempt

We just had a test run of the brand new B(minus) format ahead of the Wednesday's Revenge sampler show and let me tell you, I am even more exited about this format than ever.  We had Mikel, Katie and Matt from The Abe Froman Project along with James and Aubrey of Zoo Improv on stage making the latter part of a bad story.

Matt was billionaire-tech-mogol-former-navy-seal-Disney-theme-park-legend Jack Duke who had to stop ghost pirate John Labouf from blowing up The Pirates of the Caribbean ride except that the floating head of Walt Disney was behind it the entire time.

At one point Jack was inside The Song of the South and it got a little edgy.

B(minus) is a new, never-before-seen improv format and if you join us at 7 pm on December 5th at Memphis on Main you will get to see history in the making.

We will be watching the opening scene of the 1971 'classic' The Peace Killers, after which our improvisors will act out the rest of the film right before your eyes, with twists and turns inspired by the audience.
